On 10 July 2025, the final version of the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice was officially published. Developed under the coordination of the AI Office (AIO), this Code provides practical guidance for providers of general-purpose AI (GPAI) models to support compliance with the EU AI Act, particularly Articles 53 and 55, covering key areas such as transparency, copyright, and the management of systemic risks. While adherence is voluntary, it offers a clear and structured path for aligning with regulatory obligations ahead of the application of AI Act rules on GPAI starting 2 August 2025.
