Employment for older people: New innovative provisions

While the employment rate for older people in France is low compared to other European Union countries (39% in France in 2023 compared to an average of 51% in Europe), the entry into force on 24 October 2025 of the law transposing the national inter-professional agreements signed in November 2024 and June 2025 marks a step forward in keeping experienced employees in work, with the help of innovative measures concerning ‘seniors’ or experienced employees.

Paris, 23 December 2025 – Racine advises the majority shareholders of the Malherbe Group on their proposed sale to Géodis

After assisting the Malherbe Group with multiple external growth transactions in recent years, both in France and internationally (Normatrans in 2022, Groupe Etoile Routière in 2023 and TLW in 2024), Racine assisted the group’s majority shareholders with the agreement for its acquisition by Géodis. The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
