Racine advises ABM Médical and its majority shareholder Giphar Groupe on its acquisition by Phoenix OCP

Paris, 25 November 2024 – Racine has advised ABM Médical, a major player in the supply of medical equipment, and Giphar Groupe, its majority shareholder, in connection with the acquisition of 100% of its shares by OCP Phoenix, the European giant in wholesale distribution.

Founded in 1999 in the Lyon region, ABM Médical has established itself as a key player in the supply of medical equipment, particularly for home care. With a network of 20 branches in nine French regions, the company serves a large network of more than 5,000 partner pharmacies throughout the country. ABM Médical supports its customers on a daily basis thanks to its expertise, local presence, local service and 200 employees.

With this operation, the Phoenix OCP Group is strengthening its offering in France for the benefit of its 16,000 pharmacist customers and their patients. This acquisition positions the Phoenix OCP Group in a booming market that is expected to continue growing in the long term. As a leader in the distribution of pharmaceuticals in France, the Phoenix OCP Group is continuing its development at the service of the health of the French people.

Racine advised ABM Médical and Giphar Groupe with a team comprising Laurent Jourdan (Partner), Luc Pons (Partner), Lisa Ducani (Counsel), Léopoldine Mauvais (Lawyer) and Joséphine Combret.

Giphar Groupe was also advised on the figures by investment bank Crédit Agricole Midcap Advisors (Philippe Azavedo) and Grant Thornton (Gaetan Piens).

PwC advised OCP Phoenix with a team comprising Carole Dessus (Partner), Anne-Laure Legout (Partner), Sylvain Bolzoni (Lawyer) and Kateryna Averchenko (Lawyer).
